Last night my hubby ended up in the emergency room after taking an antibiotic called doxycycline to prepare for the IVF process. After googling, I realized that a side effect of doxycycline is heartburn. What do you normally do when you have heartburn?..pop the tums. However, it is recommended that you don't mix doxycycline with tums. My poor hubby was on a business trip..had the heartburn ..ran to CVS..loaded up on heart burn medication...ended up in the ER. WOW..lessons learned.
Today, I had follow-up sonogram. They looked at my ovaries. I had follicles in each ovary. I learned that the biggest follicle is a called the "leading follicle". I was suprised that the life game start's this early.

I survived!
I never thought that I would end up doing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Here I am going down the journey.
August 31, 2009...Started Birth Control Pills ...I didn't think this would be the first medication..funny the last thing that I need..however it controls your cycle
Sep 11, 2009 ... I got trained on IVF medications. I was suprised that I would have to take shots daily. When I left the doctor's office last week, I realized that there were several ladies like myself going through the process so I am not alone.
Also, 10 boxes of medication arrived in the mail. I had to organize the medications and orient myself like a work project.
September 19, 2009...Started Simulation Meds...I am very scared of shots...You have to take two every night..I am happy to report that after the first round..it gets very easy..it does not hurt badly..the first two days my husband administered the shots for me while I covered my eyes..we had a fun pulp fiction moment ... I am PROUD..I have administered the last two rounds myself...I have conquered my fear of shots..Yay! :)
